JEAN-PIERRE DEROUARD BIG BAND
Jean-Pierre Derouard, considered one of the best swing drummers of his generation, founded this vibrant and energetic Big Band in 2005, as a tribute to one of the best orchestras of all times: the Big Band of Count Basie.
Ramon Fossati is a member since its foundation, as a trombonist and arranger of many of the themes in its repertoire, based in the great standards performed by the Basie’s Big Band.
17 musicians coming from different musical backgrounds make up the Jean-Pierre Derouard Big Band, a swing machine full of strength, overflowing joy and visual impact.
Many artists have been invited to perform at their concerts, full of the ‘Basie’spirit, among them singer China Moses and her pianist Raphael Lemonnier, great vibraphonist Dany Doriz or one of the most recognized French trumpeters, François Biensan.
